Benefits of an
Ark Custom Building
Posts: Pressure-lumber that has a manufacturer's lifetime warranty against damage by termites or decay that would render the lumber structurally unfit for its intended use. Posts are to be a minimum of 6'x6' in size embedded in 4' of concrete. All posts are treated with preservatives in accordance with the American Wood Preservers Association Standards, which ensures that they are properly treated for continuous embedment in the soil.
Trusses: Trusses are pre-engineered with two or more per crossing.
Pitch: 3/12, 4/12, 5/12, 6/12 or 7/12
Roof/Wall framing: Purlins and girts are kiln dried Fir #2 grade or higher (kiln drying prevents warping and shrinkage). Purlins are lapped a full 2' on truss crossings for stronger construction. Purlins are 2" x 6" blocked 24" on center for maximum strength. Girts are spaced 24" on center with a T-Girt for the ledger.
Roof: J-600 White Heavy Duty Polypropylene Scrim Polyester Vapor Barrier with 2" of fiberglass insulation and a reflective backing. This product is known for its superior strength and durability. The product is odor- free and does not provide sustenance for vermin, rodents or insects. It is weather resistant with no de-laminations or cracking. It has an R-Value = 7.
Painted Roof Metal: The metal is the best-engineered profile in the industry. Ultra-Panels' design not only offers a 158-pound per square foot live load, but also offers the best lap in the industry. The lap is so good that it is difficult to notice your seams. The metal is 29-gauge Hi-Tensile Steel, 80,000-psi with a 40 year manufacturer's warranty. It has a Silicone Modified Polyester Finish (warranted by manufacture not only for it's adhesion, but also for fading and chalking.)
Composition Roofing: Choice of 20 year , 25 year or 30 year architectural composition roofing in choice of color.
Siding: Either 5/8' T-1-11 siding with choice of groove pattern, unpainted or Metal The metal is the best-engineered profile in the industry. Trim: Deluxe Custom Cedar Trim on all wood buildings. Metal Trim on all metal buildings.
Overhang: Choice of 12', 18' or 24' on all sides.
Overhead Doors: Weather Guard insulated raised panel roll-up doors have 24 gauge steel on both sides of the door for superior strength. A full 2' insulation package supplies an R-value of 8.
Walk in Doors: 3'x6'8'or 4'x6'8" insulated steel walk in doors with stainless steel lockset.
Sliding Doors: Sliding door with Aluminum girds are lightweight and will not warp or break.
Windows: 5'x3' double glazed vinyl wrapped windows with screens and drip caps.
Eave Lights: Clear as Glass, Strong as Steel. Virtually unbreakable. No more chipped, cracked or broken panels. Highest light transmission of all corrugated glazing materials.
Gutters & Downspouts: Gutters are offered in a wide range of colors and glosses that are ideally suited for your building. Polyester coatings retain their color and resist chalking and fading.
Concrete Floor: 4' reinforced with fiber mesh shop finish.
Building is designed for: 25lb snow load 80 mph wind speed, Exposure B or whatever the permitting county requires.
